A number of important events were held in the foreign and domestic policy of the country in the beginning of September. In particular, President of China Xi Jinping at the invitation of President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov was on a state visit to Uzbekistan. In addition, Bishkek hosted a meeting between Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Eldor Aripov with his Kyrgyz counterpart Askar Beshimov.

The tour of Chinese President Xi Jinping through a number of Central Asian states and the summit meeting of heads of Shanghai Cooperation Organization member states in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, have together marked the opening of the autumn political season in the region.
There is no doubt that China today conducts the most dynamic policy towards Central Asia among all external actors.
Some provisions of the "Silk Road economic belt" initiative recently proposed by Chinese President Xi Jinping overlap with those concepts that are considered and promoted within the framework of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), so it seems logical that Xi's Central Asia tour ended with participation in the SCO summit in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan.
In accordance with the established schedul, on June 18, 2013 NATO formally transferred full responsibility for security in the country to Afghan security forces.
