A number of important developments in the foreign policy of the country were held in the first half of January. In particular, the President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov received Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of National People’s Congress Chen Zhili and the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea Park Hee-tae. The Foreign Ministry of the Republic of Uzbekistan also held meetings with heads of diplomatic missions accredited in Tashkent. 03 January 2012 11:31

Almost all the countries involved in the resolution of the Afghan crisis, are gradually coming to a unanimous conclusion that a military solution to Afghanistan’s problems through further militarization has no prospects. 2009 was another milestone in the continuing escalation of violence in Afghanistan. The world financial and economic crisis in many developed and developing countries, set before mankind a number of topical issues concerning the future of the world economy, especially its operations and mechanisms for advancing the interests of countries. The world economy is gradually stabilizing, but the consequences of the global economic crisis leads to significant adjustments not only in financial and economic system, but geopolitically. The last quarter of the year marked the new contours of relationship in the sphere of energy exports from the Caspian Sea region and Central Asia. |
